Welcome to Kiten

In Antarctica, on the Trinity peninsula, there is a nose named after him.
It was named after the houses that remotely resemble a bunch, Kiten is the fourth smallest town in Bulgaria after Melnik, Madjarovo and Pliska. The village received in 2005 the status of a town is located in Southeastern Bulgaria, Primorsko municipality, Burgas region. It is 55 km away from Burgas, 5 km south of Burgas Primorsko and 12 km northwest of Tsarevo. The climate here is mild, warm, humid and transitional Mediterranean. Situated on two scenic Karaagach Bay and Atliman, which are enclosed and offer a calm sea north of the mouth of the Kiten River and the small Urdoviza peninsula. It has a small harbor from which it can to rent a boat for a walk to the neighboring villages of Primorsko, Lozenets and Ahtopol.
Kiten has two beaches - North or Kiten - Atliman and South, occupying the Urdoviza Bay. It is divided into the beach "South" and "Kiten Camping". Near the city are:
- the Strandja Nature Park, which includes the reserves Silkosia, Lopushna, Vitanovo, Tissovitsa and the historical area Petrova niva.
- Ropotamo Park, which is a reserve and covers the mouth of the Ropotamo River with the four reserves "Snake Island", "Sea Wormwood", "Arkutino" and "Water Lilies". There are small swamps in which an interesting animal and plant world is formed, bizarre rock formations, the most famous of which is the Lion Head and scenic landscapes.
The city can see the remains of the Thracian settlement Urdoviza and find mainly ceramics and ancient sea anchors. One of the hypotheses is that Urdoviza was a port with close links to Troy. The locals were privileged not only in antiquity but also during the Ottoman domination when they were released from taxes and fees. During the Ottomans, the village was named Hasekiyata or Assiekia. Its current name is from 1932, which means beautiful, wonderful. Here you can stay in a family hotel or guest house, stroll through the streets of the town, taste local seafood such as bonito, horse mackerel, turbot, popcorn about 30 species, burgundy, ilary, bayonet, sea bass, scorpion, bat - a cat that is rare and is a delicacy. If you want to have fun at 5 km from Kiten is Primorsko Aquapark. Here again are the underwater chapel "St. Nicholas" and Thracian sanctuary Begliktash. 12 km away is Tsarevo. Here you can see The Historical Museum and the Temple of the Assumption. 5.7 of the town are the beaches of Lozenets, 13.9 is Arkutino beach and 16.7 km of the Arkutino lagoon, 19.9 km is the reserve "Tisovitsa", 22 km is the castle in Ravadinovo and 22 km of the beach of Delfin in Ahtopol.
